Bubbles for Bladder Cancer 2023

Bubbles for Bladder Cancer Awareness Day – Sunday 28th May 2023

Woke up to the sounds of Pitter Patter, Pitter Patter on my roof. Very tempted to stick my head back under the doona again. But then woke up to a freezing wind.

Just kidding. It was Annie pulling back the covers and telling me to rise and shine.

Bubbles for Bladder Cancer Awareness Day had come round again!

This year we were meeting at the Point Leo Estate and Sculpture Park. A most beautiful venue set in Merricks on Westernport Bay. Our BCA get togethers can never be called quiet. This year our group were able to welcome young Ivy, Zoe and Alex’s baby girl, into our fold!

Ivy was much gushed over and it is lovely to see the next generations grow.

The weather was brisk. The sun hung around long enough to allow us to stroll through the sculpture garden and chat. Time for the photos and bubbles. Almost everyone was looking at the camera this time. A rare feat indeed!

The first spots of rain saw us seek shelter in the warmth of the winery. It was great to continue the conversations over wine and coffees.

Thanks once again to Stephanie and Zoe and your respective families for organising the event. It’s always a pleasure to catch up with each other.

We may not always be there in person but all of us are there in spirit for each other.

Great to see everyone there who could be there and really looking forward to catching up with everyone again the future!
